World Woods Golf Club opened on April 1, 1993. The pristine forestry with ample vegetation is a natural setting for two World Class Championship Golf Courses, Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks, accompanied by one of the finest practice facility in the world which includes a 9 hole short course, a 3 hole practice course and a 23 acre practice range as well as a 2 acre putting course and an iron range and putting green strategically located near the 1st tee of each course.
The 36 Hole facility is listed in the PGA's Top 10 Most Beautiful Courses in the World. Tom Fazio designed this must see and must play facility and refers to it as his "best work".
The Rolling Oaks Course, aptly named because of the Giant Oak trees draped with Spanish moss that feature in abundance on many of the holes, has sharply defined bunkers filled with bleached white sand which contrast beautifully with the rich green fairways. These attributes coupled with the many Azalea bushes present in the landscaping are reminiscent of the famed Augusta National.
The beautiful rolling fairways that lead to undulating greens add drama to this more traditional course design. Many changes in hole style and length create a great blend of holes that requires a variety of shots and a strategic approach to score well.
